Family van der Mee

You may have noticed, Ronald and Blue are slight history freaks. This includes family history. Blue climbed into the familytree. For her own family this meant serious research but Ronalds familytree was pretty much known, thanks to members of his family. We thankfully used the fruits of there labour and we like to share. For privacy reasons we start this familytree with our greatgrandparents. On this page you can find the familytree of the Wopereisfamily, starting with Blue's greatgrandmother Jeltje van der Mee.

Generation 4

1 Jettje/ Jelltje van der Mee, born 03-02-1891 in Arnhem.
She married:

Willem Smits, born 18-10-1892 in Maasdam/Hilligersberg. He was a son of Korstiaan Smits and Magrieta van Tienderen.
Note: baker.

Korstiaan, the son of Willem en Jeltje.

Generation 5

2 Cornelis Martinus van der Mee, born 27-05-1857 in Rotterdam. He died 21-01-1931.
He married:

3 Jettje Beintema, born 03-03-1858 in Sondel (Gaasterland). She died 22-03-1933. She was a daughter of Frans Gerrits Beintema.

Generation 6

4 Cornelis Martinus van der Mee, born 29-07-1827.
He married 17-10-1851:

5 Susanna Margaretha van der Mee, born 15-11-1832 in Abbebroek. She died 23-12-1883. She was a daughter of Willem George Marinus van der Mee and Francina Veltman van Pruissen. Note: Cornelis is the younger brother of Suzanna's father. So she married her uncle, her parent in-law were also her grandparents! The couple later seperated and she moves to The Haque from in 1866 and lives with a man Dirk de Jong.

Generation 7

8 Cornelis Martinus van der Mee, born 12-06-1768 in Etten. He died 02-10-1838.
He married 08-02-1791:

9 Hester Elisabeth Netscher, baptized 27-08-1784 in Rotterdam. She died 03-11-1842. She was a daughter of Franciscus Netscher en Elisabeth van Putten.
Note: She lived in Leiden untill 18-4-1790then lived in Breda from 1790 till 1795. From 1796 upto about 1798 she lives in The Haque and from 1799 upto 1827 in Rotterdam.

Generation 8

16 Govert van der Mee, baptized 01-07-1742 in Etten. He died 03-12-1816. He was an (adoptive) son of Cornelis van der Mee (32) and the biological Catrina Snels van den Houten (33).
Note: Lord of den Houten and Rucphen.
He married 1766:

17 Suzanna Margaretha Evertze, born 03-01-1750 in Veerle. She died 04-03-1835.

Generation 9

32 Cornelis van der Mee, born 29-10-1727 in Breda. He died 20-02-1791.
He married 14-11-1757:

33 Catrina Elisabeth Snels van den Houten, born 1737 in Op de Leur. She died 04-05-1788.
Note: heiress of Corncoper van den Houten.
Govert van der Mee herbiological son was present at his mothers wedding and was adopted by her husband Cornelis.
