Sibbehouse
On the grounds of the Schothorst there are two large farmhouses. The one in the back is called the sibbehouse. |

 |
Chicken
That is the chicken coop. Now that is freerange is there ever was! |
The fields
Behind the sibbehouse there is a cultivated field where plants used by farmers in the mediaval days. |
 |
 |
Side entrance
The second farm is a little different. Unlike the sibbehouse this farmhouse has entrances on the sides of the building. It is also the farmhouse where the stables fot the live stock can be found. |
Breadoven
Next to this farmhouse there is a breadoven and a large fireplace where many meals have been prepared and eaten. |
 |
 |
The livestock
The stables inside the farmhouse lease the animals the option of going outside during the day. The goats often do when the weather is nice. |
Stables
But you can often find then inside in the warm straw. |
 |
 |
Walking the goat.
It is always a funny sight to see someone walk a goat. |
Sheepfold
There is also a smal sheepfold on the grounds where the sheep can sleep and take cover from bad weather. |
 |
 |
Third building
And then there is this smal third building. Sunken into the ground it is a bit larger then one would think looking at it. Even in the warm sun this smal house is always cool to sleep in. |
The garden
Blue loves to walk through the garden at the Schorhorst. Not only can you find many plants used for cooking and healing but there are also a few plants used for dying wool in this garden like madder and woad. |
